Take your time getting to this from highway 190 , unpaved road is quite bumpy ! When your there , a pleasant low uphill grade walk through some lovely rock formations awaits , a small amount of scrambling required ,nothing too bad though. We walked...More

If you do only one hike this is the one! Easy...but the rock formations are amazing! Highly recommend this as a number one selection for hikers. Gets hot so hike early in the morning! Bring the camera!

An in and out hike up a rough road near Stovepipe wells. It was very popular. After the initial interesting part there is a long open area where you are exposed to the sun before you re-enter a canyon area. This is a beautiful spot...More

This is a very enjoyable walk. Not unbelievable, but worth the effort. Also consider Golden Canyon, no one was there but it was probably better.

An excellent hike in an unusual canyon. Study up on the geology in advance, if you can. Maybe five miles round trip if you go all the way to the end. But the best, and most interesting part of the hike is in the first...More

Is the road to get to Mosaic Canyon require 4 wheel drive? I am planning to rent a regular economy or mid size vehicle.

No, we had an SUV - just a Nissan Rogue and it was perfectly fine - any car will do to access it via the highways
