After days of no vegetation and very little in the way of animal life, this was a welcome oasis in the desert. We saw lots of beautiful plants and birds. The trail was easy, except for the very last part to the falls. No indication...More

This is a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the desert and it is an easy 2.5 mile walk round trip. To get to the trail you have to drive on a dirt road for a few miles.

We passed the entrance to this, as its not marked. Pertty much first left after passing parliament springs hotel and eatery. The dirt road was the worst out of the entire park., and I personally wouldn't do it in a car, especially if it rains....More

We weren't sure about the road to the trailhead, and almost turned back. So glad we kept going! The start of the trail is pretty but not too exciting - along a gravel path (former road?). But once you turn into the canyon, it gets...More

At the beginning, we didn’t understand why it was an intermediate hike. Easy gravel road, nothing to be afraid of. The « difficulty » is at the end when you have no idea where the right way is. Tried to figure out and finally made it :)...More

As impossible as it sounds there is a spring fed waterfall that runs year round in Death Valley, well technically Panamint Valley. Same desert, so I digress. The gravel road wasn’t challenging to find. It is really easily spotted once you blow right past it....More

Was not easy to find. Gravel road from Main road. Hike starts off in a gravel wash, gradually you see the stream and vegetation starts. A few times we realized we were on the "wrong side" of the stream and had to hop over to...More

The 1st "falls" is a quick-running downhill stream, about 1 mile from the parking area. The main Darwin Falls is quite a hike further in. If you're physically able, it's worth going all the way. If not, the 1st one is quite beautiful & worth...More

A bit of a hike so be prepared. So worth it to see water in the desert. Invest the time and be prepared.

My daughter and I visited on June 2nd, making it to Darwin Falls around Noon. This was our favorite hike of the day. It is not a highly visited trail. And I think that is for the best. Thankfully I had done quite of bit...More

There's a sign posted at the parking lot that specifically says no dogs. There are other areas in the park that allow dogs.
