Good spot to stop at for groceries, snacks, souvenirs, or to stay a night or two. For lodging, you'll probably need reservations well in advance. Good location for dune hiking as well as canyon explorations. The night sky is amazing here.

We stopped to see the dunes and it is beautiful. But the power was out to the whole village, so the store was closed. Good thing we had gotten gas at Furnace Creek before we headed out.
