Great Hike

This trail is near the park entrance but it doesn't take long for you to be in the wilderness. It's a steep trail but it's well worth the views at the top.

This a great return hike - we, a family of 4 with teen kids did it in 4 hours. Steep going up and quick coming down. But the view is simply stunning and completely worth it.

This is a steep and very strenous hike to the overlook. It starts from the visitors centre entrance in the park. Note that this is not the peak of Mt Healy, that is further along on an unmaintained part of the same trail. It takes about 3 1/2 hours round trip including stopz along the way up that had a... We really enjoyed this walk. It's a steep but pleasant walk. The view is amazing and after the lookout you even can go further one if you like.

We did this hike the after going to Denali visitor center to start our exploration of the park. The hike entrance starts at back of visitor center. We saw people from ages 5-80+ all doing the hike and enjoying it. We saw a total of maybe 25-30 other people doing the hike during our visit. It took us about 3... More

This trail is over two miles with an increase in elevation of 1700 feet along the way. It's a bit strenuous, but totally do-able if you are in reasonably good condition. The scenery along the way is incredible and the view from the top is breath-taking. Coming down from the top was actually the most challenging for me as there... More

Nice views of Denali Park and surrounding areas. Windy and cooler at top. You can continue on an unmaintained trail to higher point if desired. We saw a large female moose just off the trail on the way down.

This hike was strenuous. If you aren't in decent shape you probably shouldn't do the climb. It took me and my college buddies about 3 hrs round trip. The view at the top is well worth the pain getting there. Gorgeous views of the canyon and backside of the park. We hung out on top for a half hour or... More

I work the summer in Denali. One day after work I hiked up to the ridge and camped at the top just to get out of the canyon. The views were great and it was nice to get away. It was windy up top and colder than I expected. I went on a clear day and watched the sunset at... More

A short but steep hike to the overlook. Note that this is not the peak of Mt Healy, that is further along on an unmaintained part of the same trail. Nice views (saw the very top of Denali) and very windy. It took us about 3 1/2 hours round trip. This included a stop along the way up that had... More
