The WAC, the starting point for trips into the park and where one comes to confirm/ make shuttle reservations. We found the staff to be knowledgable and super organised in dealing with the many, many people who enter Denali each day. The Dispatcher, in particular, calmly and efficiently worked to ensure everyone was lined up ready to board the correct... More

It is the starting point of a wonderful day and a nice place to visit even if you don't go any farther into the park. I just wish some of the worker's had been able to answer a few more questions we had about getting off the shuttle to see Wonder Lake. Apparently not all the workers have gone way... More

We visited the WAC as we prepared to enter Denali. The tickets for our shuttle bus along the park road were able to be picked up here, and then we met at the same location the next morning to get onto the bus itself. In addition to ticket pickup and bus stop, there is also an information desk with park... More

I was at the WAC on Thursday, September 1th at 10:30. The young woman at the information center desk was flirting with a young tourist when we arrived. We wanted to buy tickets for the shuttles into the park. The WAC wasn't busy at all and she was in no hurry to help. After 10 minutes of me waiting for... More

Whilst staying in Denali I booked a Wilderness Tour with this firm, whilst the driver Tom was very passionate and knowledgeable on the surroundings he was either having a bad day or just in the wrong job!!!!!!!! Pick up at hotel 7.15am was very prompt and the day was designed to show you the wilderness which to most of the... More

We found in all the centres in Denali Park the staff to be incredibly helpful especially with the huge number of people going through there every day. We were able to find great walks off the main tracks which were well sign posted and maintained. The park centres will close next week so some people may expect the staff to... More

This great experience started with Rudy, one of the customer service reps whom I was lucky enough to reach when planning my visit into the park. Thanks to his guidance and efforts, my husband and I were successfully able to book an early morning bus excursion to Wonder Lake just a few weeks before our trip. He is a fine... More

Lots of tour buses stop through here and you can use the topographical map and rangers to guide your visit. There is a 2 mile walk back to the hotel (Princess Denali Hotel) and restaurants that follows the highway. Ask for the roadside trail. it curves to the river and you can see some great sites there. Watch out for... More

We had to go to WAC as we had our Eielson Tour from WILDERNESS Access Center - the tour was great, but let me focus on my experience at WAC. I found the staff very rude and uninformed ... The lady was clueless and must have sworn to not help, she had her set answers and wasn't ready to even... More

The Wilderness Access Center is the starting point for shuttle bus tours into Denali and is well organized in getting tours off to a great start. Its a modern facility and offers coffee, pastries and a gift shop as well as tourist information. We arrived early for our shuttle and they were able to accommodate us on an earlier bus.... More
