This is a small but great Visitors Center. Sadly we didn't have much time to spend here as we wanted to get to the Flamingo Visitors Center at the edge of the park. Very nice and helpful Rangers.

We drove from Fort Lauderdale and decided to go through Miami and Homestead and enter Everglades National Park from here. The visitor center was our first stop. Very informative and an excellent place to start our Everglades adventure.

This is the access to the park from homestead and Miami. Shortly after this Visitor Center you had the opportunity to take several hikes. I can highly recommend the Anhinga trail.

We visited here before driving to flamingo visitor center. Have bug spray for mosquitoes. Gift shop closes at 4:30 pm. Bathrooms are opened.
