We’ve done a lot of overlooks of the canyon, stopping at every shuttle stop including the Hermit road, but the Yaki Point ended up being the one that we preferred.
Accessible only via shuttle (the orange one), there isn’t 1 billion cars that could disturb your visit.
I’ll let you see it by your eyes.

You cannot get to this point by car so you have to park at the Grand Canyon visitor center and have a shuttle take you there. It is worth it to see though! Amazing views!

Very cool hike, not too terrible. There is no signal for the most of the hike, so keep that in mind if you want to contact people. it connects another hike down to the bottom of the canyon. Easy hike, might be a bit hard to get up, but the view at Yalu point is amazing. And the view is absolutely beautiful.

Yaki Point is only accessible by bus, so don't try to drive there. You can catch the bus at grand canyon village to get there.

The 2 hour round trip from Bright Angel Bikes (located at the visitor centre within the park) to Yaki point is a must do. Easy ride and breathtaking views.

Staying at the Village (El Tovar Hotel), this place is a bit harder to reach than the "red route" going west. Instead this goes to the northeast section of South Rim tourist area. Views are different this section of the canyon.

We rented Bikes at the Bright Angel Bicycles located by the Visitor center. We rode up to Yaki point and it was so fun! The views were amazing. You can walk this, ride a shuttle or a bike.

I highly recommend the bikes because you can stop at several view points including the south Kaibab Trailhead where we saw Elk just roaming around and mules are kept there for resting after trail.

January 3rd visited this lookout point last but to me it was the best. This trip was on my bucket list for 30 years, finally got to go this year! Grand Canyon is GRAND! After my husband and I survived Covid in August of 2020 it was a pleasant memory at end of 2020 and to begin Jan 2021.

Take the orange shuttle from the visitor center. There are two stops along the way offering great views and wildlife. Yaki is at the end and gives a deeper perspective than Mather Point does. It can be done in 45 min, but take all the time possible. Its beautiful!
