Another nice spot to see the grand canyon. This point if I remember correctly, you can see the Colorado River better.

The shuttle buses only make 3 stops on the return trip from Hermit's Rest, so if you don't stop at the Abyss on the way out, you can take the return bus to Mohave, then go back up to The Abyss. It's just over a...More

All the different points at the Grand Canyon offer exquisite views. There are free shuttle buses that will drop you off at the various points.

If you have been getting off the bus at every stop so far and are starting to get tired or desperately need to find a bathroom, this is one you can skip. The views are more enclosed and less expansive.

There are great views from this location, however based on the name I was expecting a deeper section. Nevertheless it is a beautiful view.

The Abyss is a good place to see how far down the Grand Canyon extends below. The views are awesome also. Not as many different views as Moran Point or Mariposa Point.
