Be sure to catch at least one sunrise at Mather Point while you're visiting the Grand Canyon. Plan to arrive about 20-30 minutes before sunrise - that's the real show, when the sky turns gorgeous shades of pink and purple. The actual rising of the...More

A truly spectacular place. The view hear and at other points in the park is wonderful. Pictures do not do justice to being there in person.

Great place to start, main parking at the visitor center, and connecting free shuttle buses wherever you want to go. Mather Point is the closest viewpoint here and you won't be disappointed.

Just keep going and keep looking as you make your way along the Rim Trail. Each stopping point brings a different view from the angle to the dangle --- at sunrise or sunset --- or at midday.

Just a short walk from the Visitor Centre on a good path and then WOW!! The vastness, the colours... no photos, videos or tripadvisor reviews can do it justice. You must experience it yourself in person to fully appreciate this true wonder of the world.

Beautiful views just a short walk from the visitors center. Take Binoculars for an even more amazing look at the Canyon.

Short walk from visitor center and shuttle. Excellent views of canyon. Great for sunrise sunset. A short pleasant walk from visitor center/Shuttle bus depot. Very crowded at sunset.

There is parking close to this site. Just a short walk with paved walking to panoramic views of the Grand Canyon rim. This is just one of the many view sites available within the National Park. Visitor Center is close by.

You have a couple of options. If you are just driving through East to West, it would be best to come in through Cameron (off Hwy 89) there are several view points (and I consider some of these to be some of the best). When... More
