We were here on a tour. We decided to take this way as most of the trails were covered with ice and it was difficult to walk. This trail was not difficult at all. It is flat and it offers plenty of opportunities to take great pictures. A must see (from any trail you want)

We got up before dawn and hiked out the rim trail to Trailview Overlook. It was only a mile or two and not strenuous. Beautiful trail. The sun burst over the rim five minutes after we arrived. Exceptional view down onto the Bright Angel Trail where it makes unbelievable switchback after switchback coming up to the rim from Indian Gardens.... More

Hiked up Bright Angel Trail after rafting the river for a week. Superb views from the top - it looked even more impressive than when we were rafting it, though the rapids were something else!

Well looked after paths which are ok for prams and wheelchairs. They are well maintained and give the disabled or elderley a great view without going too far

The line for the red bus was long so we walked the rim trail less than a mile to get to Trailview Overlook. This part was uphill, not bad. The thing I like about this overlook is that you can see most of the Bright Angel Trail from Indian Gardens to the rim. You can also see the trail to... More

It is a dramatically splendid view and is considered to be one of the seven natural wonders in the world. The grandeur of the Nature here is overwhelming! Introduce the Grand Canyon to your children and watch the Eternity together with them!

Trailview Overlook is the first view point you come to on Hermit Road or the Rim Trail if hiking it from the Hermit Rest Transfer Station. If you take the free shuttle bus to Trailview Overlook you can walk all the way back downhill to the Transfer Stop. The unique view from here is of Jacob' Ladder on Bright Angel... More

My husband and I stopped at each point along the South Rim. We took the trolley (red route) to the 1st stop, Trailview Overlook. This stop was one of my favorites because you look into the canyon and can see all the trails going down into it that people are hiking. It's a great view! Great place to see some... More

My wife, kids and I enjoyed this viewpoint very much. It was a steady traffic of people but never uncomfortable or crowded. Great views!!
