If you have not hiked the Smokies before, then this is a good warm up. A fairly easy hike with paved paths and a moderate incline. The falls themselves are beautiful and my kids loved lingering around them for about an hour. Bad thing is,...More

Super quick hike with a beautiful reward at the top. We saw people of all ages on this trail, but I would be extremely wary of taking small children who like to run. The drop offs are steep and there are signs everywhere saying to...More

Laurel Falls is about a 2-3 mile RT hike on a paved trail. Now just because it is paved does not mean it is easy. Most of the hike there is at an incline and the pavement is rough with significant drop offs on the...More

Our family doesn't hike very often, but we decided to try it out for the second time after hiking in Hawaii. It was a pretty worn down paved hike but with our family of older children, it was completely fine. If you do have young...More

I suggest getting there very early because the parking fills up fast. I know that people often get there at sunrise to hike.
