This was the start of our hike to back country camping- trail head is right at the end of Grand Lake and there is a parking lot. Bit of an up but you can circle around the falls as well at the viewing area. Great...More

This is a short hike, about 1/3 of a mile, but there is a pretty good climb, so out-of-shape folks (such as myself) should take it fairly slowly. Like many places in Rocky Mountauin National Park, the view changes about every 15 steps, so make...More

Calypso Cascades is much better than Adams Falls but this attraction motivated us to explore the West side of RMNP, which was totally worth the drive. Grand Lake is serene and less-crowded than Estes Park. We also saw much more wildlife on the W side...More

This is a nice first up hike when visiting RMNP. 0.3miles from start to the falls. Little bit of a climb but not difficult. There is a pool just upstream of the viewing deck that little ones can splash around in.

One of the Park Rangers at the Alpine Visitor's Center told us about these falls and said we should not miss it. The trail and Adams Falls is actually just outside the park in the little town of Grand Lake. (Follow Route 34 out of...More

The Adams falls is a cascade waterfall within .3 of a mile from the start of the trail. The falls are a nice treat, but continue on to the meadow for more amazing views and some wildlife. We saw moose, deer, elk, hummingbirds, and chipmunks.

A short hike that gets a little rock and steeper as you go along, but not that far. The trailhead is outside of Grand Lake, CO on the west side of the park. After the short hike (less than a half-mile I think) you begin...More

This is definitely worth the short walk to the falls. It is not a strenuous walk. There were many children and senior adults on the trail. The trail to the falls is actually in Grand Lake before you get to Rocky Mountain National Park.

The trail for this is reached from outside the park from Grand Lake. The hike is very short and easy without much elevation gain so it's a great hike for people who might not be as fit for some of the longer/harder hikes. Great hike...More

My family and I chose to do this hike instead of the other waterfall hikes due to the amount of snow at the other waterfalls. We saw a fox at the beginning of this trail! The trail was easy and short. If you do the...More
