Interesting lake and a nice canoeing spot. Also has a nice canteen where one can have a snack or even lunch. Also has a Gas station....we filled up Gas here on our return to Red Wood City.

Hume Lake is a nice side trip but if you are short on time, I would pass this up. There are too many prettier things to see.

Hume lake is a beautiful spot on a great route through the national park. We visited during peak season when camps were on, so it was overtaken with kids enjoying some summer fun, but that did not detract from it's beauty.

I've been visiting Hume since 2003 and it never gets old. A visit to Hume isn't complete without a swim at Sandy Cove, but please exercise water safety. Such a beautiful gem in the Sequoias!

There are some OHV trails to the Northeast side of the lake overlooking Kings canyon but it is a several mile walk to see anything significant. Some good hikes if you don't mind driving include big baldy trail heads and... More

The storage space includes a metal lock box that is large enough for up to 3 standard size iced chests. No power, refrigerator or shower facilities. Toilets and water spigots are all that you will find.
