We hiked up on the road, light snow on the ground. A nice walk with lots of animal tracks and we saw some deer, but not especially beautiful or interesting. We had just come from Yosemite which admittedly may color my rating.

For some reason everyone else left long before sunset. If you are staying in Grant Village then do stay a while and enjoy the lovely view of King’s Canyon as the sun sets behind you. If you aren’t here at the end of the day...More

This was recommended to me by the lovely staff at John Muir Lodge, so glad I listened! What an incredible view! I'm only disappointed I missed the sunrise because my friend slept in, but regardless, so pleased to have seen such a beautiful sight :-)

This hike is very easy and accessible. We also hiked a short way down the Park Ridge trail. It is also very beautiful and just a little more difficult.

We drove around this almost scary, narrow road trying to find our way to Panoramic Point, missing the final leg of the drive a couple of times. The road to your destination is not clearly marked! It is not a drive for the faint of...More

Getting here was part of the adventure, the road to the parking lot below the panoramic point was quite narrow and you need to watch for oncoming traffic as the road at some points could fit 2 cars so one has to stop by the...More

We were staying in John Muir lodge so the start of the road was easy to find - its right next to the lodge. The road is steep, narrow and twisty and meeting someone coming the other way is a bit of a negotiation regarding...More

For some reason this spot is not marked on the entrance road (Crystal Springs). The initial access road is directly across from the road to the Grant Tree. Panorama Road runs along the side of the Muir Lodge. Nice, quiet spot with excellent views (maybe...More

This is a lovely spot to just sit, relax and enjoy the view. You can see very far in the distance from this vista point and short hike. Definitely worth the drive and hike to his location of the park.
