We have planned on visiting Voyageurs National Park for some time and we were not disappointed with this particular venue. We began our day with an educational tour of the gardens and our guide was very informative and responsive to many questions. We then boarded...More

You can't go wrong with a national park visitor center because it gives you the chance to talk with rangers. This one also is a starting point for boat tours of Rainy Lake, which is by far the best way to appreciate this park. You're...More

We were staying on Kabatogama but made the effort to drive up here in case we would miss out on something big. Unless you are planning on launching in here- it is okay to miss. That said it is the most modern and entertaining of...More

Beautiful scenery and fishing. Better understanding of the voyageurs provided at Grand Portage National Historic Site. This is the place to get away from it all, but bring your own food (or better yet be prepared to catch and cook it yourself) because there is...More

As you already know, this park is best explored by boat. In fact, a boat is the only way to visit most of the park. Alas, we visited Voyageurs National Park on a cross-country road trip that didn't allow the time (or boat) necessary to...More

The lake is perfect for fishing trips, recreational boating and jet skiing. Cabins are sprinkled all over the shoreline. It's also great for snowmobiling in the winter. Rainy lake borders Canada and half of the lake is Canadian territory.
