We did not know that the visitors center was closed today. We explored down by the water. What a beautiful setting! Breathtaking! We drive around the park and noticed quite a few deer roaming near the road. Numerous beaver lodges were found on the property....More

The visitor center has some nice displays and historical information. The staff was very helpful in recommending activities. Even if you don't have a boat, you can enjoy the park.

There are multiple entry points to the Park. If traveling North on Highway 53 take the time and drive in. The Finnish log visitor's center itself is worth seeing. The nearby short trails give immediate access to the wilderness.

We swung by the Ash River Visitor Center on our way out to Kettle Falls from Lake Kabetagoma on a Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was not open. From what we saw, it was clean, had public boat access, and included some picnic tables. Overall, nothing to...More

Voyageurs NP really is designed for boating, but a drive to the Visitor Center is a good way to learn about the park. The center itself is located in what used to be a resort lodge and that in itself is interesting to see. The...More
