Tough hike, especially after the Scout's Lookout, but really rewarding, well worth the effort!! The views are stunning, I probably will camp at the Angels Landing viewpoint if it is allowed. We spend around 5 hours for the hike including rest and taking lots of...More

This is a great hike, but can be very crowded and hot. The best advice for this hike is to go as early as possible to 1) beat the heat and 2) beat the crowds. I'm not in marathon runner shape, but I'm in pretty...More

This is a popular hike & that makes for crowded conditions on the trail. Get up and be on the first shuttle (6 am) and that will get you out before the crowds get unbearable. The path is paved and wide up until Scouts Lookout,...More

If you're in Zion National Park, do not miss your chance to climb Angel's Landing. It is a bit of a strenuous hike (especially the switchbacks), but the climbing on the narrower sections is so fun. Maybe not recommended for those afraid of heights/poor balance....More

Great workout hike, starts gradual then some steady climbing, levels off then great switchbacks get you to Scout's Landing which is a fairly large flat area with good views. I'm not a big fan of heights-make my knees weak!. Went a little bit on the...More

This is such a great trail. Now - I only went up to Scott's Landing, I didn't do the last 500 feet (with the chains and the skinny ledges). That being said - it was beautiful, and as long as you are ok with heights...More

Popular, yes! Strenuous, only up to Angels landing (last 500 ft climb on the spine). Worth doing, of course but if too busy, like one way traffic of people, snack at Scouts landing and continue at least .5 mile on West Rim trail, which makes...More

You Must! It is worth it! We saw multiple people afraid of heights have trouble with the trail, so just make sure you are good with the height before you head up the exposure!

Wow. Simply an amazing height with everything you need -- adventure, fear, stunning beauty, accomplishment. The hike starts boldly meandering up the canyon with stunning views, then flattens out for a bit before hitting Walter's Wiggles. From there, it's an amazing adventure to the top...More

No review will ever adequately explain the views or the experience of hiking Angel's Landing. This hike is intense and not for the faint of heart or out of shape. Crowds do make this rough and more time consuming, but you just figure out how...More

My husband and I are fit, (runners and endurance exercises.) We will do our hikes with our 7 year old child. Any suggested hikes or advice for keeping her safe, yet enjoying the experience?

Pick hikes that your 7 year old can do and enjoy. Weeping Rock, emerald pools, scouts lookout (but not to Angels Landing...could continue in rim trail). Whatever hikes you do, pace yourself based on your child & always take... More

Is it possible to do Angels Landing and Observation Point in one day? I know it will be hot (Mid July) but I'd love to fit both in.

A.L. is east up to Scouts landing. The .5 mile to A.L. Not only will be busy but slow hiking down. There is a short cut to O. Point, of you drive down N. Fork rd. on the east side of the park, and stop for directions at the... More
