Emerald pools is a nice easy hike we did after Angel's Landing. We really enjoyed the waterfall which caused a small rainbow to appear. We went to lower, middle and upper falls, because some reviews said don't miss the upper falls. Honestly, the upper falls...More

We took the horse trail between shuttle bus stop 3 + 4 on the Silver Spring line. The horse poop stunk along the way and it was sort of unavoidable. With the summer heat the earlier that you get there the cooler the temperature and...More

It wal lovely, but not a wow. I guess that in winter, while pools are a bit higher. Still it is a great hike for kids, and very balanced in terms of length and beauty along the way.

We went all the way to the Upper Falls! It was a strenuous hike toward the end, but worth it to see all the views of Zion. Doing this and The Narrows was a perfect day for us.

After doing longer trails the day before this short hike to the Upper Pools was refreshing. Great for kids too!

Did this hike which was recommended as a less strenuous alternative to some of the others in Zion. It was pleasant, and the lower falls area was very pretty, but after that point it turns steeply upward and the temperature rises quickly, at least in...More

This is a great hike but make sure you're prepared to hike on rock scramble's. There's a fair amount of sand on the rocks, very slippery at times. Be prepared.

Our group of 5 ranged from 67-78 y/o. We are all in pretty good shape, but would not consider ourselves to be hikers. We are healthy seniors and no one is overweight. From the Visitor's Guide, this looked easy and picturesque. Two from our group...More

The views from the top were amazing. Beautiful hike, challenging, the only real pool was at the very top. Also on the day we hiked it was extremely crowded which made the hike not as enjoyable. Overall it was a fun hike & worth the...More

This is an easy one mile hike beside a beautiful River with great views of the rocks. It is easily accessible from Zion Lodge. There is a neat waterfall at the end of the height. There were lots of people on the hike but it...More

No, you don't need a guide for these hikes. (I don't know about The subway). For Narrows you might need some equipment that you can rent near the entrance to the Park. Emerald Pools is an easy hike if you start from the... More

I think it will depend on your ability and determination. I am 61 and have a bad knee but I am in good shape otherwise. I took lots of breaks and my daughter helped me down the steeper parts of the upper pool trail (going... More
