Zion National Park is another of America's treasures. Although there are several trails you can walk, we chose the less-strenuous Riverside Walk, which takes you to the Narrows. It took us - walking slowly about an hour and a half each way, Fortunately, the walk is paved and is surrounded by incredible views. We were rewarded by seeing some rock... More

It's the walk that takes you to the start of the narrows. It's not to strenuous and there are many paths to take you down to the river. There are spots where you see the rocks weep. Its the last stop on the shuttle. Do not need any special gear for this.

My wife and I walked this trail on a Friday afternoon in mid-October 2016. The river walk itself looks beautiful, with the gentle sound of the river right at hand and beautiful mountains all around. A perfect setting to commune with nature and enjoy some stillness. Or one could walk it crowded by people who showed little or no courtesy... More

I had several people ask how far to the end as I returned. It takes a while but it's so easy that even handicapped could make it to the river crossing. Me? I enjoyed watching the crowds. In late Oct., it was busy but not so crowded as to ruin the walk.

This is a beautiful paved hike along the Virgin River for about 1 mile until the walk ends, and the hike in the river up the Narrows begins. To access the trailhead you need to take the shuttle to the last stop (#9), and follow the signs to the walk. As you head down the walk you'll notice you're heading... More

We were up and on this trail by 9:30 and were glad we did it earlier than many. The day was hot and we were very comfy in just shorts and tees. We are not experienced or overly fit hikers and we were able to manage the few inclines just fine. I must say by the end of our hike,... More

This easy, mostly shaded, paved trail was a great introduction to Zion - the Virgin River was beautiful...we saw deer and squirrels (all were fat - don't feed the wildlife, lol). It ends at The Narrows and we regretted we hadn't rented water shoes, etc. to continue on.

A nice easy walk - very busy not sure if there is a time of year that it is quieter -- pretty crowded for end of September -

This is a paved and very pleasant hike that is very crowded since it leads to the narrows hike. It is paved and takes only about an hour for a total distance of about 2.5 miles. Very easy hike go early to avoid crowds.

This is pretty much the essential Zion trail. It is paved but long. Some venture into the Narrows but others stop just before bring a walking stick and water.
