We decided to make the drive through Koloa Canyons not knowing what to expect. We were first pleased that there were almost no other cars. Then the views were spectacular! We planned on driving to Lava Point Overlook, but the road was closed shortly after we turned down Lava Point Rd. However, much to our surprise, we did see snow!... More

We stopped by Kolob after spending the previous day in the bigger part of Zion. We were a bit disappointed with how small this part of the park was, but the views were definitely impressive. There were only about 3 trail heads, at least that we saw, and each one seemed to have a little picnic area at the start... More

My wife and I didn't want to waste our money in Las Vegas, so we rented a car and came here. We also were lucky to find out our visit was free on Easter. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, taking lots of pictures. Make sure you take a good camera, with a zoom lens.

We have driven right by this gorgeous place on I-15 more times than I can count. A friend we were with suggested that we stop and take a short hike at the end. It is totally worth the 1-2 hour stop. The scenery is stunning. We enjoyed our hike and then had lunch at a lovely picnic area. Don't pass... More

Due to limited time we couldn't visit all of the area but did have the pass so we could have. We stopped at the visitor's center and thought about doing more but it was raining and cold. According to their website, "The entrance fees at Zion National Park are $30 per vehicle, $25 per motorcycle, and $15 per person for... More

I drove through the canyon on my way back to LAS from Kanab. Sadly, I did not have time for any trails, but I did get some nice photos from the turnouts.

Most people head for the main entrance to Zion and totally skip this area - they are missing out! Stunning drives, amazing views on the hiking trails - stop at the small ranger station and plan your hike - it is well worth it! Even if you are not hiking, the drive is amazingly beautiful - plan to spend at... More

We found this quite by accident after a day in Zion. The roads can be scary because many times you are mere feet from a 500 foot drop off. The scenery is incredible. We got up to 7400 ' before we stopped.

Though I came here after a snow fall so the trail was VERY muddy, it was still amazing. Stunning views and a lovely trail. Well worth it.

You can drive the 5 mile scenic road and just stop to see the beautiful views or you can spend the whole day hiking. Either way it costs you $30 to get in the park unless you have your annual national park pass which we did. Did 3 awesome short hikes (all about 1 hr).
