This was by far my favorite hike in Zion (although we didn't do Angel's Landing and The Narrows was closed). The entire thing was beautiful, but I especially loved the part through Echo Canyon. March was a great time to go-- it never got too hot and although we saw a decent number of people, the crowds could have been... More

8 miles round trip and from a guy who has been to all 50 states and done a lot of these, this ranks in the top 5. Backpacker magazine rated this the lower 48's best view. strenuous hike with a great variety of scenery

This review is for Echo Canyon, which is on the trail to Observation Point - about half-way up (approximately 4 miles roundtrip). I thought this was a hard hike, but worth seeing the gorgeous Echo Canyon. This is a great turn around point for people who do not want to make the 8-mile round trip to Observation Point. It's super... More

Observaion Point could be challenging for persons with a fear of heights, because the signs even say 'not for people with fear of heights'. I have an extreme fear of heights, I can not look down of my balcony, but I still was able to go to Observation Point. The trial which will take you there is widespread, leaving enough... More

This is a great hike that rightfully deserves its popularity and can stand alongside two of the hikes I have done from Nat Geo's list of the Best 25 Hikes in the World. I do agree with the naysayers, however, to the extent that the best part for me was the morning light on the lower part of the trail... More

You will definitely feel you have achieved something when you have done this hike. It is quite a puff up, but the going is good and very manageable, the view from the top is incredible and it is a joy coming down. Go and do it.

Somewhat strenuous, 8 mile round trip, 2,300' climb. Has some areas with steep drop offs along the trail, but the trail is mostly paved and wide, so nothing technically challenging. Just watch your footing. It includes a nice section along a slotted canyon with good picture taking, and ultimately a great view down the valley overlooking Angels Landing.

Excellent scenery a stiff hike up the mountain but our guide Wally from Wildlands was excellent ,you need a reasonable level of fitness , and there are some steep drops , but so worth it when you get there

A relatively easy trek to the viewing point. I went last weekend with a party of 5. One member of our group was nearly 80, she took her time but made it just fine. A little rain was falling bud that did not prevent us from making it to the top. Well worth the effort. Absolutely beautiful.

Take early a free shuttle bus (we walked in middle of october, still hot) to beat the crowds and heat from the visitor centre. descend .. its 4 miles uphill to observation point aprx 600 meters up..the walk is quiet and beautiful and the last section to the point is flat along a deep gorge.. with same nice views .....
