We're avid hikers and thoroughly enjoyed this trail, which was nine miles via Weeping Rock, at 6500-ft elev and with 2150-ft elev gain. It's worth doing this trek early if the weather's hot, to ensure shade along an otherwise unforgiving trail (morning offers shade for...More

We decided to hit observation point on our way to Bryce Canyon using a lesser known "back way". The trail is mostly flat and connects with the observation point trail about 1/4 mile from the point. It saved our legs quite a bit. A few...More

It was a god 4.5 hours up and down hike. it is refreshing and gives a good view on three sides at the observation point. Once you reach the top plateu the view remains the same till you reach the point. worth doing.

It took us a solid 6 hours to complete this hike, including a break at the top where we ate our lunch while overlooking an incredible view. I think the average is 4-6 hours. This hike is basically straight uphill for 3 hours with relatively...More

I started at 2pm and finished at 7pm. 2,000+ feet of elevation gain to point above Angels Landing. Beautiful views looking down Zion valley and Virgin River. Hike up into Hidden canyon is very hard, then exposed in sun up to Observation Point. Steep. Hot....More

We chose to hike Observation Point since I learned through reviews that I probably wouldn't like Angel's Landing due to crowds and scary heights, but that Observation Point was a great alternative. I read it was thrilling, challenging, but beautifully worth it. All of that...More

Almost 2500ft elevation over 4 miles makes this a tough hike even for experienced walkers. You will need good strong shoes, preferably walking boots. There is limited shade if the sun is strong. Two hours each way is the minimum going rate for the majority...More

I had given angels landing a miss due to my fear of heights and had gotten only as far as scouts landing. To get views comparable to angels landing minus the strenuous and risky hikes, we decided to do the alternate moderate "cheater trail" to...More

I think what you see is very similar. From observation point you are higher and looking right at Angels landing. So, from Angels Landing you have an unobstructed view to the south and you are on a pinnacle so that's a big... More
