When traversing the trail, we realized that this is also used by the mountain goats and so we had several encounters with them, which just added to the adventure. The trail in February was icy in some places, so some care is required. However, it is very doable and has some other interesting features which makes the trek quite enjoyable.... More

I would rate this the 2nd best hike in Zion behind the narrows. Couldn't do angels landing because of ice. This view is awesome. You're standing on top of the great arch at the end. Not strenuous but does require good balance in places. Definitely worth the hour of hiking time.

This hike is an absolute must for all ages when visiting Zion. This slightly challenging short hike can be navigated by anyone, just where good shoes and take your time. The views are well worth the effort. As a bonus we came across a herd of big horn sheep.

Must see hike. One of the parks main attractions. Plan on running into people, if youre looking for solitude this won't be the trail for you

This trail is short, just 1 mile round trip. It is, however, a bit challenging because it is uphill, on a narrow (sometimes extremely narrow) trail. There were many icy spots during late December when we visited. People recommended traction devices, but we managed just fine without them. Trekking poles helped a lot. Beautiful views along the way, but once... More

We did this hike with my 70 year old parents and my 6, 9 and 12 year olds. It's fantastic for all. After the initial stairs and paths, you get to a part where there's just a lot of mounds of rocks and my kids loved this open part where they could climb the mounds. The views are beautiful during... If you want an overview look of the canyon but am too scared or not able to hike Angel's Landing, I'd recommend this hike!! I sure was not disappointed! This hike is usually listed as a fairly easy hike. I'd say, it's fairly easy but there are some spots that are quite narrow and scary. If you can brave through... More

This hike will be the biggest bang for your buck in terms of getting spectacular views of the canyon after a relatively easy hike

We went to Zion from friends recommendaitons and we were not disapointed. We only had 1 day so all the below comes with the qualification that we only spent 1 day in the park. If I could only do one thing (in Winter while Angels landing is closed) I would do the canyon overlook trail. Gives you a fantastic view... More
