This hike had an amazing view at the end! The trailhead is before the long tunnel and parking is before the tunnel as well depending which way you entered the park. East entrance the parking is before the tunnel. If your coming from Springdale then the parking is after the tunnel. First part of the hike is the most strenuous... More

This was the perfect hike with a gorgeous view at the end. About an hour total. We were able to enjoy watching bighorn sheep and babies in the rocks surrounding the rocks leading to the trail. The hike is located just prior to the large tunnel headed into Zion and Springdale. Parking is very limited. There are a few steep... More

Hike is steep in places with stone stairs. Interesting features along the way including a suspended walkway and huge rock overhang. The overlook at the end is worth the hike! Be sure to take water since the trail is in full sun.

This is a wonderful introductory trail for the beauty that is Zion national park. We get to see the gorgeous rock formations with its many colors. The hike is a total of 1 mile, and to get to there we drive about 10 min after entering the park. Meandering slow roads lead to a small parking area where we can... More

Definitely do this hike a little before sunset, stakeout a spot, and watch the sun sink behind the beautiful mountains. We did leave shortly after the sun dipped so that we could navigate the tricky terrain back in the light. Well worth it! This is not reachable by shuttle.

I was on the Overlook Trail when it was winter and didn't appreciate the ice but the small trail was worth it. It took me about 25 minutes to get to the landing to overlook the canyon. It was gorgeous. A couple of scary spots but nothing too bad.

A pretty easy hike once you get pat the first little climb. Not too many scary drop offs and an amazing view although it's of a side canyon rather than the main canyon. Still great views if you don't or can't climb 1500 ft.

I've seen this trail labeled easy or casual many places so decided to try it as my first hike in Zion. I will say I was by myself and have a slight fear of heights and a bigger fear of falling off a cliff. It's not a super strenuous trail if you're in decent shape but there are several places... If you want jar dropping scenery go along the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta from Banff & do the circuit to lake Louise, Jasper, Edmonton, Calgary back to Banff. I have travelled in excess for 40 years, all over the World. In by book you are unlikely to better the Rockies. The whole experience to get to the view is... More

This was a great trail with some really interesting views. We saw lots of chipmunks playing which was nice to watch. The view over the canyon is amazing, there is a railing in one place but the rest is just a sheer drop so be careful with children. Also try not to miss the car park! As soon as you... More
