About

OMG. Lemurs roaming free and walking right up to you! Jaguar sleeping 5 feet from the glass. Canopy walk. Bats! Amazing zoo. Our 8 year old daughter said it was her favorite part of our trip to Guadeloupe!

Small but perfectly formed zoo. We spent a couple of hours and this was about perfect, although would have been longer if there were lots of people. The layout is good and you walk around one-way. The overhead walk way is amazing and gives a different viewpoint. Lots of pretty flowers as well as the animals. Avoid in the rain as you get pretty wet !

The zoo is surprisingly well designed and ‘stocked’ for a relatively small operation. It’s a great visit if one is respectful of the animals (which all were when we went). Worth doing the little tree-tour, it’s fun. A good alternative thing to do on a morning

What a really lovely place. Small but entertaining and a lovely interaction with one of the toucans. Set on the edge of the national park, the zoo is inside the rainforest, and how it rained on our visit. Too slippery to do hanging bridge for us. But it didn't take away the beauty, only enhancing the wet, giant tropical leaves, making them shiny and lush in appearance. Well worth a visit to, but can get slippery on the hillside, worth bearing in mind for anyone with mobility issues.

My husband, 21 year old son, and I loved this zoo. We loved the wooden paths that we followed as we wound through the zoo and gardens. We enjoyed the greenery and natural type settings for the animals. It was a fantastic experience and I'd love to return again. My husband and son also really enjoyed the suspension bridges. I tried one and then stuck to the solid paths.

A beautiful rainforest provides the setting for this gem of a zoo in Guadeloupe. Walkways in the sky allow for a unique view of the full range of flora and fauna. Thanks for including signs in English and French. A great, value for money, day out 😄

Beautiful zoo in a rainforest setting. Our whole family loved the zoo and the walkways, the whole zoo was really well kept and the path ways were perfect for our pushchair.
Would highly recommend a visit for other families!

We visited the zoo during low season on a Wednesday during May. We arrived at appr. 9.30 and there was plenty of parking space. The entrance is just off the route de la traversée and it is well signed.
Entrance fee was €15 I believe which seems a fair price considering the cost of upkeep of a zoo. You can also buy a cheap poncho for €3.50 in case you have forgotten your raincoat (which I did).
As the zoo is slightly up in the rainforest, the temperature was several degrees cooler than on the coast and made for a very pleasant atmosphere.
There is a one way system in the zoo which ensures that you cover all the areas during your visit. I am not really a fan of zoos and was finding some enclosures difficult to watch particularly the ocelot who seemed distressed to me. However, this place is so beautiful and feels much more natural than most zoos as it seems to just have been incorporated into nature that was already there rather than purpose built enclosures.
The highlight of the visit was the treetop walk. I don’t normally like heights but this one felt very secure and was really good fun - quite lengthy as well.
At the end of the walk you exit through the shop which also sells drinks and chocolate snacks. There are a couple of benches in front of the shop which worked well as picnic spots but there is also a nice looking restaurant opposite the zoo.
If you turn back on the road towards Point a Pitre you can reach the Cascade aux ecrevisse within 15 minutes.

We spent 2 hours in this zoo and had a great time
Combination of plants and animals. One way visit makes it very safe in this covid period.

Do you have a bus to pick up a group to go to zoo? There are 10 or more.
Thank you

We stayed on the island for a few days and had a rental car. Hotels might have buses, but I don't know for sure.

Hallo,
