Instead of the usual city break we decided to go here and hire bikes and kayaks !!
Totally spanish, i never heard another english voice! Cycled about 30km, along tracks at side of lagunas and covered about 10 out of the 16 there.
Well worth the visit for something differant !

A wonderful landscape. Ideal for families because you are a lot of fields, waterfalls and so on. Better in summer for swimming. Be careful with the restaurant you choose.

Great place, though not touristic. Beautiful lakes ready for a swimm. You can cool off anywhere and the road through the park is awesome. Absolutely a parc you have to visit.

These are lakes, some of which think they are rivers, formed from deep aquifers underground. Cycling, walking, diving, snorkelling, kayaking, all available here in beautiful surroundings.

These are a chain of pools (lagoons) varying in size over quite a large area. Some have beaches and there is no shortage of bars and restaurants. There is boating activities in some. And lots of swimmers and picnicers.

Perfect visit for a hot summer day! I would say a car is required to access the lagunas. Almost all of them are very shallow this year. They waters are a nice green blue colour, and they are not overly busy like a typical beach!

Beautiful natural site even though it was late summer and although the lakes were spectacular the many little waterfalls connecting them that we saw on pictures weren’t there…
Great water temperatures amazing swimming.
The whole area provides a superb walking terrain with plenty of great opportunities for a swim or a picnic or both 

Fantastic location with beautiful scenery around every corner. Great wildlife to be seen too with birds in the trees and deer in the hills.

The complex of lakes to the south of Ruidera is an absolute must for those seeking tranquility and who enjoy walking. The "Lagunas" are made up of numerous lakes - some large and some small. All have their own specific character. If you need a base to explore from I would suggest Laguna San Pedro. This is one of the larger lakes and has hotel and restaurant resources along the shoreline. Laguna San Pedro also has a couple of sandy beach areas. If you prefer camping then there are campsites in the Lagunas area.
Would definitely have liked to spend more time here.

great lakes but too many people and bars along it and not enough nature. Accommodation was lacking too in terms of being in nature and views of nature
