Clean and lighting provide inside but better take wite a lamp. Interesing nature made pagoda inside. I like it!

Hope you are physically fit because this cave is a tough one to get to. We rented a scooter and drove out to the countryside for some exploration. When we got to the top of this mountain the view was spectacular. There is a nominal...More

The temperature of any cave is equal to the average temperature at the surface. So, this is not a cold cave but warm. Lots of steps and nothing compared to, say, Carlsbad Caverns, but interesting.

It's not particularly easy to get in and out of the cave if you're not very agile. But most people shouldn't have a big issue. When I went we were the only people there and for some reason all the lights went out plunging us...More

Muang On Cave is not difficult to reach, just head east from Chiang Mai City on Highway 1317 for about 40 minutes and up a hill. Parking space for bikes are plenty but limited for private cars. Hiking to the hilltop is free, but you...More

One of the best Cave experiences in Thailand, though one needs to be moderately fit as it's a fairly steep decent & coming back up takes some stamina, really beautiful & well worth the effort though.

This is a good stopping point to break up trip to Mae Kampong. There are lots of steps in the cave however once inside it is pretty impressive. I wouldn't come out just for the cave but if on the way a must do.
