Worth the walk along beach from hotels on beach for
solid interaction with collection of locals and ex-pats all
keen on sharing joy for wind driven (non-motorized) water sports.
They won't oversell the activity and establish expectations fairly
for novices. Kite surfing is hard. It takes time, but you'll
have a bit of a leg up with prior sailing or wave surfing experience.
If your stay is for 7 days, head there on day 1, don't wait till
day 4 and regret your delay as I did. I took several lessons.
They were responsive to feedback after my first lesson.
My 11 year-old son felt he was missing out on all the fun, and decided on day 6
he wanted to windsurf. As it was last minute, all classes were
full. No problem, I was allowed to rent a learner board and certified
as instructor on the spot. Morning of day 7, heavy rain and no wind.
Again no problem, I was released from my reservation.

Great kitesurfing in Boca Grandi beach although the locals were bit moron (not all of them obviously)
Fisherman's Hut was way too gusty to being very enjoyable although the flat water makes it attractive
The folks at Aruba active vacation kite schools were very nice and friendly

Great Kite school with terrific staff and equipment. They care about their riders and will do their best to ensure you do your best. I worked with Tim as my instructor who was easy going and full of all the right tips and positive attitude. Its a tough sport to learn, but these guys will get you going. They have the latest gear and will do their best to keep you safe. they are not just in it for the cash like some of the others.
