This was a great find during our recent trip to the area. We stopped in to find good cider, good prices, and friendly staff.

Local cidery that also has local calvedos - an apple brandy, I think, rather potent but quite good. Odd, slightly disturbing guest there from California - not associated with them - who wanted pictures of us, address, etc. Rather unsettling.

Corkscrew winetasting - when in Normandy, you must do "Cidre" tasting. The Ferme de la Sapiniere was a great experience. The family-run feel and the warm and hospitable service made this an outstanding experience. In addition to the Cidre (I prefer the Brut) they also...More

The cider, the pommeau, the calvados and the local meat products are absolutely recommendable as those are very reasonable as well as very delicious. I will certainly come back and bring others.

Off the beaten path, didn't really know this was here but great stop and it was warm where we were freezing outside. Try the apple liquor made in this area, warms you right up!

Small family run business with 300 different apple varieties blended to make some superb cider and calvados. They speak great English and the tour was extremely informative. I didn't realise that the apple skin is the source of the natural fermentation, and that it can...More
