You start in the main building, and then travel to three other ones to view historical artifacts in information (in English and French). Spent a good amount of time here, as there was lots to look at. There is one building that is especially geared toward children (the one after the cabin), so they will have fun too.

The World War 1 relics are priceless as is the German fighter plane with original fabric. For kids, you can see nice a dollhouse collection. Check out all the antique shops in town too

Wonderful museum located in the centre of the town and filled with artifacts. It is a collection of several buildings, each containing beautiful and local artifacts, that both relates to the history of the region and to Quebec in general from 1850s to 1960s. You need a couple of hours to go through it all.

The County has done well to collect its history, in buildings as well as impliments of early settlers life. The have the town fire tower, a classroom which is used to showcase the story of the 'Home Children' sent from England throughout the British Empire in 1869. There is only remaining Fokker biplane from WW1 that is canvas covered within... More

There are so many cool things to see: airplanes, WWI and WWII weapons and uniforms, an attic full of objects used in the area for farming and living... On top of that, there is a replica school room and a replica home set-up. Last but not least, an entire new wing devoted to kids has been set up: they can... More

This museum is fantastic for adults, but their children's museum is particularly wonderful. My grand daughter who is now 5 never tires of playing make believe here. Everything is so well thought out. This alone is worth the drive from the city

This is a great museum for any size location. Special exhibitions and the house exhibitions make this always interesting. There is one building devoted strictly for the young and young at heart. Children are allowed and encouraged to touch and play with the exhibits. Highly recommended.

Wonderful little museum located in the centre of the town. it is a collection of several buildings, each containing beautiful and local artifacts. The children museum is fun and they have accepted the oldest house in the area, once owned by the town's founder Paul Holland Knowlton. It is an important addition to the museum.

Lots of interesting info about the area, well-presented. The kids, even very young ones, will enjoy the old-fashioned general store with a real cash register and plastic produce, baking, etc., a kitchen, and old toys.

Kudos to the museum volunteers and staff for your great work preserving the buildings and artifacts, plus the great kids' section and newly added Knowlton House. A good activity for families in town. We live here and go often. Plus watch for their regular activities through the year.
