Today me and my partner stumbled across this little gem whilst out village bobbing. We were beckoned to stop by an elderly gentleman doing his garden. I'm so glad we did, the shop was closed probably due to the time of year but the castello and museum were open. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who welcomed us inside and promptly opened up the tower at our request. There are around 150 steps but they are not steep and easily manageable. The tower itself is quite spacious inside which Deb was pleased about. The climb to the top was I must say quite eerie and I found myself thinking of the village people of past that must of climbed up this tower in more menacing times. Once at the top the view on this clear day was absolutely stunning, you could see full 360 deg as far as the eye could roam, simply wonderful. After we descended we went into the museum which is only very small ( 1 room ) but quite interesting and gives you a glimpse into past life in the town. I'm not sure how busy it gets during high season but it made it that little bit more special that we were the only ones there. I would definitely recommend a visit and it doesn't cost anything ( no collection box just a visitor book to sign ) 👍…
