Rather than join the queues at the usual well known sites (Empire State Building, Top of the Rock, One World Observatory, etc), we decided to do the Vertical Tour of Cathedral of St John the Divine. This tour is relatively inexpensive and involved a small...More

This Cathedral is well worth a visit even though it is in need of serious repair and you can only walk around the outside.

We visited this on a Caribbean cruise as part of one of the ship's tours. Quite unexpected as it has both style and history

couldn't get in due to building work, could be a beautiful building if it had been maintained properly, climbed a crumbling wall to get in to the grave yard, some interesting graves but badly looked after, lots of rubbish laying around, we were disapointed

This is a must see. While in St. Johns, walk to this magnificent site. The Cathedral is under renovation and while it is closed, the keeper will let you in to show you the progress. Impressive. Only cost is a requested donation.

A beautiful church but in great disrepair. If the story is true, they need to return the statues and then maybe their parish can thrive. I did not see any signs of work being performed but I hope the cathedral can be restored to glory.
