Diverse collection of objects from the Arawak Indians and beyond the years of slavery. Little souvenir shop on site.

I generally travel to the Caribbean for the beaches, views, friendly people and liquors! Yet I also take the time to visit the museums. If you do want a pause, this museum offers historical glimpses of the islands.

Do go if you can spare the time - the museum is a true labour of love and tells the story of Antigua and Barbuda in a most charming fashion

I can't remember what it cost to get in here but it was a waste of money for sure. Not too much to see and the staff were rude. Also the washrooms were incredibly discusting.

Passed this museum while walking around town. It has the feel of a an enthusiast's collection, rather than a formal museum, but this is not a criticism. It was very interesting with exhibits of the island's origins, the slavery and Sir Viv's big bat

Good value for money $3 US entrance fee, $8 ECD. One floor of exhibits and story boards starting with the formation of the Island to present day. We learned much about the British colonization of the Island and sugar cane production. It is air-conditioned somewhat, so an escape from the heat for an hour. The front desk staff were very... We have pictures of our daughter sat on and stood next to the cannon outside the entrance from the age of 2 upwards... Again, it is one of our 'things to do' in Antigua. I have read some dismissive reviews and complaints about the $3 entrance fee. This is churlish and misses the point. The museum is housed in the... More
