I visited the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda while taking a walking tour of St. John's. It was very interesting and covered the founding of Antigua and Barbuda, the sugar plantations, emancipation of slaves, labor unions, independence and world class cricket teams.

I had time to kill while wife was horse riding. Found this museum in the backstreets of St. John's. Staff were as laid back as you expect in the Caribbean. Museum was clean and tidy. Old and dated exhibits within and took me an hour...More

Very good excursion to St.Johns, nice museum, good artifacts . Pricey staff in museum's store. Visit the church too, old cemetery and the works they are doing to install new wood after the existing one was consumed by termites.

The museum tells the story of Antigua and Barbuda including the geological, flora and fauna history, habitation, colonialism to emancipation and current life. Although it's a little museum, there are a lot of artifacts to view and interesting articles to read. I found it worth...More

This is an easy walk from the cruise ship dock and well worth the visit. This museum covers the geology of the area, history of the islands, and profiles of some of its most interesting citizens. The restored trains are a new addition and their...More
