Great geological structure, snorkelling could have been better

I was looking forward to seeing these our whole vacation, and it was definitely a neat feature, but it was underwhelming. You can't get close enough to appreciate the rock formations.

Great rock formations, worthy of a photo. Was led to believe snorkelling was great but we happened upon quite a choppy day at sea so it was life vest snorkelling weather. As a result visibility wasn't that great. Did see some big colourful fish but not many good photos. Did Cades Reef later (fab) I they told us Pillars of... More

We stopped here to snorkel while on a tour in Antigua. The water depth was about 15-25 feet, and even though the swells were huge that day, it was still calm enough to enjoy. My kids loved this location. The pillars are a pretty cool and make for some good pics.

We were on a dive trip with DiveCarib to this site and moored right in front of the pillars. We also go a lot of geocaching and the pillars are an earthcache so we were able to gather the required information for that as well. The pillars are pretty spectacular to view from the water level as the forces that... More

One of my favorite dive sites...second only to Stony Cove. The dives here are not challenging (very few challenging sites in Antigua), but dealing with the surf flow and negotiating around some of the rocks below can prove interesting and fun. Catch the surge! Go with Linda, the dive master at St. James's...she is the best on the island

Dove there (with Tony from Dockyard divers) - a great dive, the combination of rocks, sea life and waves crashing above makes it a pretty unique experience

Easy to get to, lots of visibility, and tons to see! I visited through a tour around the island, and I found this to be one of the high points of the day.

The cliffs were best to see from the surface but create a unique underwater dive. We had excellent weather and the sun and surf and rock walls all made for a great dive. Plus there were plenty of creatures below including barracuda, octopus, turtles, moray eels and much more. Did not see any sharks here.
