This is a nice spot for a short visit. There are free restrooms (always a plus), a tourist information centre, the town hall (with town crier) and some nice (if pricey) restaurants. At noon each day there is a nice (if a bit hokey) re-enactment of a dunking, such as was done to those guilty of gossip and other minor... More

We sailed to Bermuda on Grandeur of the Seas and posted a separate review on Cruise Critic of the sailing. Upon arrival at Royal Navy Dockyard (King's Wharf) we walked a short distance through the "terminal" to the St. George Ferry Dock. The Dock is currently located next to the America's Cup souvenir kiosk (2017). We had quarters for the... More

The last of reviews of my visit to Bermuda was wonderful. Took the fast Ferry from Dockyard to St. George to visit the World Heritage Center and its activities. The Gombey's and the reenactment of the water ducking for gossipy women was very entertaining. The history of St. George is very informative and a must see on your stay to... More

The town of St. George is a step back in time. It is quaint, quiet, and very walk-able. We spent an overcast day exploring the town, the square, churches and other historic spots in town. There were may little shops where everyone was pleasant and friendly.

We stopped by the Town Hall as we were wondering through St. George. We were treated to a small cute reenactment by a couple dealing with some of the new laws being passed. It was a great and they did a good job of trying to stay in the right time era.

We traveled to St George's by local bus from The Royal Navy Dockyards(a 2 hr trip) and were pleasantly surprised. Very nice, quaint old town with many historic sites to see and, if you're lucky, they will be having their "dunking" trial. I can't remember if they do this more than once a week, look for it on the internet... More

This is a very quaint little square in the centre of the old town of St George. The town hall is a preserved building and open to the public. The exterior is flanked by two ancient cannons and the interior is all highly polished wood with the mayors desk and side pews for government, It has pictures of all its... More
