This was a fun evening in Hamilton on Front Street. They close off the street for the event and have music, entertainment, local food vendors, and folks selling different handmade crafts. In addition, most of the shops on Front Street are open to shop.

We tried to attend Harbour Night but it was canceled, despite plenty of people milling around trying to see if anything was going to happen. Granted, there was rain earlier in the afternoon but by 4pm it had cleared and there was no reason that the festivities couldn't be held. I guess the locals just wanted to head home because... More

I was really disappointed with this. I was probably looking forward to this the most and it was nothing! No huge parade, just long lines for the ferry.

We made intricate arrangements to see the festival but were disappointed. There were few bands, only a few costumed characters and mostly local food and vending. Luckily, we arranged for dinner at Flannigan's Irish Pub and enjoyed a front row seat for the parade while enjoying our meal. If you're on a cruise and already in town I'd stay but... More

We had been looking forward to a fun street carnival with food vendors, crafts, games, music, military presentations, local artists, etc., and on a large scale. We got most of it, but on a small scale minus the military send off at the end we were so looking forward to experiencing. The inflatables were not blown up, and the crowds... More

We made sure to be on Front St at 7pm to see the parade. We were having dinner and we heard a band outside, looked out the window and in a blink of an eye the parade was over. The only thing we really got to see were all the vendors that were setup in the street. We got a... More

Very cool way to get to know some of the shoppes and restaurants in Hamilton. There are dozens of vendors that set themselves up at booths in the streets with their wares. There can be a parade and lots of music as well. All along Front Street and up through the other streets you can encounter some of the few... More

It was described to us as a "big street party where locals and tourists party together." That was most certainly not the case. Locals sold trinkets to gullible tourists who "needed souvenirs." The food options were limited and you weren't allowed to drink on the street. Everything was overpriced. Don't get sucked in to the tourist trap!
