Located adjoining the major hospital, and on a bus route, it is easy to get to (though we made the mistake of walking out from Hamilton--wouldn't recommend it--road far too narrow and busy!). Sprawling grounds include many features, from traditional rose gardens (not blooming in December) to a nice local museum (with cafe), to an aviary (with peacocks) and perennial... More

November may not be the best time to visit, but there was still many botanicals to admire. We went at the correct time for a tour, but like the other people who traveled here for the tour we were disappointed when no tour guide appeared. On Saturday there is a Farmer's Market on site that offered local produce and products... More

Take a walk through and enjoy the tranquility of the gardens, along with Masterworks Museum. Find the building where the tours start and go in and tell Mr. Issac hello! He volunteers there and runs a little shop that sells Bermudian books and other island keepsakes.

This is a beautiful arboretum with a small aviary, art museum and excellent, little cafe called "Homer's" after Winslow Homer. Delicious food prepared by staff from Bermuda's Portuguese Bakery, generous in portion size and delicious.

The botanical gardens are beautiful! Make sure to wear sunblock and bring sunglasses. There are additional things to do on property if you get too hot.

The recovery from storm damage in recent years (mentioned by our hotel concierge) is still ongoing, but great strides have been made. We entered from our bus stop on South Road and first encountered the formal English Garden with its rows of box hedges geometrically laid out. We then saw a stand of ficus and rubber trees, a few specimens... More

This was a bit of a disappointment as far as botanical gardens go. There is no entrance charge for the gardens, the gardens are pretty much run down, with weeds growing up on some of the pathways, also in the cactus garden many plants were rotting away, the roof was also half off. The part of the gardens near the cafe... More

After being here years ago and remembering the beauty, I am sorry to say we were disappointed this trip. I believe this is due to the reliance on volunteers. This gardens could be great again but it needs help now.

While we enjoyed walking through the Botanical Gardens on a Sunday morning (we practically had the place to ourselves), we were disappointed in the lack of upkeep in the gardens. Most of the beds needed weeding, trimming and lots of tlc.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disappointing. It reminded me of an old estate. Grounds all over Bermuda look like this. No one greeted us. The Peacock is beautiful. The red bird in the back is SICK or very old. He could barely keep his eyes open and his face was yellow. we parked up the hill to the right and... More
