Enjoyed our tour.

We really enjoyed the short tour of the history, bottling facility, and rum tasting at Mount Gay. We thought it well worth the time and entry fee.

I went expecting more from this tour. The quick glimpse inside the bottling factory was the only part of the operation we were able to view. Looks like rum storage facilities and distillery are off site. I was expecting more like a wine tour at a winery so you could see all parts of the operation. The tastings were great... More

My fiancé and I did the lunch tour. It was ok, the tour is quite short, you learn the history of mount gay and have a quick look in the factory. This is then followed by lunch (chicken, rice and peas and mac pie. Followed by a chocolate dessert) it was all tasty. We got to try three different rums... More

We both enjoyed this but it turns out drinking rum neat isn't the most fun. Our tour guide was fantastic though, great routine and very entertaining

Booked the tour one month in advance and we're glad we did as there were many walk up cruise passengers. The tour lasted about an hour and was expertly presented by our guide. We learned a lot about this historic and culturally important Barbados institution. Be careful when engaging in the multiple tasting opportunities, the rum will catch up with... More

Short taxi ride from cruise port. Paid $15 for 5 samples of rum and they were very generous samples. Tour guide "Tina" was great, very funny and upbeat. Total tour with flight samples takes about an hour. They also have a great bar where you can pay for more drinks-very creative ones made by the bartenders using the different types... More

The price included a 7 min video and then 5 tastings . It was poor value for money compared with other rum tours , I would not take time for this

We took the basic tour. Since we have been on other wine/rum/beer tours, we weren't going to, but glad we did learned things about different qualities and the guide was entertaining. Bought a bottle at the end of the tour which we later learned was less expensive than buying it at the supermarket!

What a waste of time, its all about trying to sell you a load of tat in the shop. nothing to see, I wanted to see sugar cane being processed, water added wooden barrels aging in store etc. But I saw film, a bottle plant not working, and not much else, oh I got five teaspoons of rum. total rip... We had tasted Mount Gay Rum before we came to Barbados so had to go visit the distillery were it is made, had a great tour of the place with a wonderful guild, who explained everything so well, and finished with a tasting at the end which was great as you get to taste the many different styles of Rum....
