This square is about 100 yards from the cruise terminal and about a 15 minute leisurely walk from the Parque Central Hotel and close to the harbour promenade so it's most likely that you will come across this square. Be very careful if you take a photo of a local person dressed in Cuban clothes they will be after you... More

After wandering around some of the more narrow streets of Havana Vieja it is a joy to enter such an open square with its interesting sites.

nice square surrounded by really nice building with very nice architecture. Didn't stop for a very long time, but it's nice to pass by 2 or 3 times

A beautiful large square on the port side of Old Havana. Lots of tourists, but surrounded by some older buildings and a large church. It's clean and safe, but not many areas to sit or relax.

In spite of being just by the harbour and the first stop for cruise ships this was very peaceful with many old buildings and although not so large seemed to have more space than other squares.

It is not a ver big square but it worths to see. You can find a change office which is closed at the weekends. There are a few cafes if you want to rest after a long walking day and a few shops before you get into the inside streets and a church. If you walk to right by the sea... More

Bit of everything - Oldest Building in Old Havana, lots of interesting buildings and excellent Statue of St Francis and of the Man/Woman art piece. Near the docks, easily accessible from a Cruise Ship.

Our visit to Old Havana’s San Francisco de Asis Square /Plaza de San Francisco was one of the most memorable places visited on our People to People tour from the Celestyal Crystal cruise ship. Our tour guide DiNora Figuroa Bacardi of Amistur Cuba S.A. tourism agency did an excellent job of guiding us through the square and providing informative and... More

The square seems to be an entry way to Habana Vieja. Very interesting flea market on Thursday. Vestigial remnant of Catholicism and the a by-gone era.
