One of the best places in Havana to see the main salsa groups (like Havana d´Primera, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco,..etc) live concerts! Highly recommended!

On Thursday, Oct 6 we tried to go to the Centro Havana location and we were told by some guy sitting outside that the Casa de Musica was closed because a beam had fallen the week before so the club was closed for renovations. I don't know if this is true, but if you plan on going, I recommend calling... More

Let me start with some key tips for you readers - 1. Go to the earlier performance at 5 as it is cheaper and filled with locals that just want to dance and have fun. This leads to an amazing atmosphere and helps you avoid the singles looking to "mingle" that you will inevitably find at the later performances. 2.... More

The very much talked about Casa de la Musica, Miramar is definitely worth a watch if you visit Havana. But at CUC25 an entry, even the well choreographed and performed cabaret dance performance seems like a let down. Then again, I'd rather see it and say I'm disappointed than miss it altogether.

I've had a great time at Casa de la musica miramar because I liked the bands. However the dance floor is tiny and it's nearly impossible to dance. Bar has got all the essentials, friendly atmosphere, I felt safe. In case the concert is late, there's a nice coffee place just opposite, good coffee and decent chocolates. Miramar is a... More

We went because all the people recommend it, but in the moment you arrive, "ladies" wanna go inside with you, the beer is very cheap and the musicians are good, the ladies are so insistent that they even get mad. If you with your family, please, don't go and if you are single, take care of your belongings

Don't expect to hear any classics here. Modern Cuban salsa band playing extremely long songs while few people attempt dancing in between tightly packed tables and chairs. No dance floor. When you leave you get stormed by a mob of taxi drivers jumping over each other trying to rip you off for a ride home.

There is a very small, intimate bar area for drinks if you arrive early. I don't know when they open but I was there around 11. It turns out the band doesn't show up until about 12:30am. The band got everyone going. People stood up at their tables and began dancing around in place. There are some narrow aisles near... More
