Not a billboard in site

It was so refreshing to go see a big open historical place not covered in billboards and souvenir stands. It is as important a place as you can see in Havana

Of course there are stories on top of stories that are attached to buildings. One thing about Havana, Cuba they have stories of their history everywhere! You almost do not need a tour guide to recite or paraphrase a story. At the Plaza de Revolucion, this is a place for pure Picture taking and to take a picture with the... More

I visited this square while traveling in a vintage car, very interesting nice to see. You have an opportunity to stop and take pictures. The Plaza de la Revolution is on a roundabout & more of these iron famous faces can be seen here.

Lots of coaches & cars but it's a big expanse of space so you can find somewhere to stand and not have another tourist in your photo. You'll need transport of some kind to get here not in what they call 'Old Havana'. You can also stand by the side of the plaza and watch the old Cuban cars go... More

Visited area twice while in Havana, on tour bus and in old American car. Looks impressive and good to see with your own eyes. There is plenty to see and you can go up the tower/ monument to get an aerial view of surrounding area/ city.

Many photos, bloody clothing and bullets in planes and trailers. Very interesting. Go with a translator.

A million people gathered here to hear Castro speak. Not much to see now but interesting to visit, we stopped here as part of the tour in a convertible.

Big Plaza where speeches are held by the Government. It is easy to imagine a parade around it bear in mind it is a Socialist country. Images if Che Guevara and Castro are printed on the main buildings. Also there are old iconic cars for taxi hire here.

If you like history, I think you can be in love with this place. I also like history but these times seem to be too young for me... Plaza de la Revolucion is magicial by the strange way and I need more time to absorbe it. Monumento a Jose Marti is so big that you will have a problem to... More

The plaza is located some kilometers away from the centro. We took a coco taxi (which is kinda fun) to go there. The buildings (which are ministries) have the silhouettes of Che and Fidel while on the opposite side you can see the monument of Jose Marti (which is actually Cuba's favorite person)
