The Museo Del Canival is worth a visit if you are interested in costumes etc but you could walk around the whole facility in 5 minutes. We really liked the performance in the court yard!!

This is a small museum just a few blocks from the main plaza with various carnival-related items and several scheduled shows in the interior patio.

Although quite interesting there is a limited amount to see and will only take you a few minutes to walk around. I would recommend not paying extra 5cuc for photos as that is very over priced.

While the museum itself has rather dingy representations of what must be fabulous Carnival costumes, the folk dancing troupe got visitors up and dancing and was a lot of fun. African rhythms, quite different from much of the other music we heard along the way.
