We were hoping to visit the Floating Market, but was sad to find out that after 101 yrs, Venezuela has now banded their fisherman from coming to this island. So sad.
Apparently the vendors come from Venezuela by boat with produce and other wares.They no longer sell directly from their boats. They tie up behind stalls on shore now. The produce offered is a bit fresher and more varied than what we found in the grocery...More

No matter how many times I’ve been to curacao over the last 44 years, I’m still in awe of the floating market. The small boats that come from Venezuela to sell their fruit and fish. It’s colorful, and the fruit is great!

This could be a quick visit. The boats pull up to booths and sell produce. Only a handful were occupies with product. One of the locals told us it used to be very busy but something to do with the government something has caused it...More
This market is easily walkable regardless of where you are in the town. Lots of stalls .... also some paintings are less expensive here than from the other sidewalk vendors like half the price.....
Despite the blockade of the ABC islands by the Venezuelans, there is still enough produce for sale (perhaps the prices are a bit higher though). The traders are very friendly and the boats are scenic to visit as well. Most vendors offer also bags with...More
It provides a cool photo from the water side. But it’s a quick and small attraction . I would not go out of my way to see; but if walking in the area, it’s worth experiencing . Or if you want some fruit or vegetables...More
