Nice to have a stroll there. During the day, cafe's and restaurants are full with tourists, and in the evening you see many youngsters getting ready for a night out.

The Handelskade features the signature coloured houses of Curacao. Other than that it really is a tourist trap. It is not very authentic and there are better places to spend your time. If you do want to go you won't need more than 30 minutes to cover the water front and see that it is littered with souvenir shops. Best... More

We saw this view many times when we went to the city center. Every time we enjoyed our walk and the view to some nice architecture with a strong Dutch influence.

Beautiful waterfront scenery especially if viewed from the other side of the bridge across the water! Nice colorful Dutch architecture, this place very much resembles Holland! Walking into the heart of town you will find many shops, restaurants, etc! A great shopping experience! Take your time to explore all the nooks and crannies in this area!

one does not expect to find Dutch architecture here, in the Caribbean but here it is. Curacao is of course still under Dutch control but with a very light hand. Having been to Holland more then 50 times, it was like "homecoming". If you think it looks nice during the day, come back after sunset, the Handelskade turns MAGIC. Look... More

The waterfront in Willemstad is beautiful. We spent an hour having lunch at a waterside restaurant. Staff was very friendly, food was very good for a sidewalk establishment. Lots of little shops all along the streets and alleys. This was a great way to spend an afternoon!

This place is beautiful! You should take some time to walk around, it is worth it! There are some restaurants, cafes and bars too if you want to eat and/or drink there. By the way, it is pretty safe also!

The waterfront is exceptional and captures the flavours of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. Pictures are not a good substitute.

This is a breathtaking part of Punda. It is a vibrant reminder of the the island's Dutch heritage. If you were ever in Europe it might remind you of the houses on the Dutch canals.
