Nice, rocky, challenging hike (especially) in the rain. The views are spectacular if it's not too hazy/cloudy. Begin your hike between 0600 and 0615, it gets crowded real quick! It may be helpful to have poles and grippy shoes are a must! Have fun!

We really enjoyed our hike to the top of Mount Christoffel and the drive along the north shore however we were saddened to see how people could leave their bottles and garbage throughout the park. You have to pay to enter the park to get on the trail. The hike is fun, challenging especially since it is so hot and... More

We were interested in exploring the island and enjoyed the easy drive and relatively short trip from Willemstad to Mount Christoffel park. We hiked and found the trail to be rigorous but doable and enjoyed the landscape of aloe plants and iguanas. It was reasonably priced to get in and the gift shop had reasonably priced souvenirs.

Great contrast to chilling at the beach - two routes you can follow self-paced with your own (rental) car, stop at amazing viewpoints and experience pure nature of Curacao! We liked it a lot! Be sure to arrive before 11 a.m. to be allowed to drive both routes and take enough water with you! Please leave the place clean and... More

After a morning at the Savonet museum, we spent an afternoon on the Boca Grandi trail in Christoffel park. Part of the Northern Car Route--it's marked in red on the park map--this trail starts and ends near the museum, so it's convenient if you only have time to see a bit of the park. The viewpoint marked "6" on the... More

The hike up the mountain itself is pretty strenuous, takes a little over an hour to get up and requires a good amount of climbing. The views are great however, you can nearly see the entire island. I would recommend going when it is dry and hasn't rained recently... my family and I went it had been raining for a... More

We climbed the christoffel after some days of rain. It was a slippery and hot but we loved it! We had a great time climbing it and a lovely view at the top. The last part of de climb is a bit risky but it's doable!! Don't forget to whare good shoes and bring lots of water!!!

Yep, everything that has been written already is correct. Park opens at 7:30am every day except Sunday when it opens at 6:00am. Get there early to hike/climb in the coolest part of the day. At 11:00 o'clock no one is allowed to start hiking up. The path is narrow and rocky and the final stretch is more of a boulder... More

We drive through the park and stopped at some view points. As we had a baby with us we couldn't do a hike. The park offers some nice views but didn't feel the nature was stunning or unique. Nevertheless, nice to visit when you make a round trip over the island.

Christoffel park is definitely worth a visit, but make absolutely sure that you start as early as possible, have lots of water with you and avoid flip flops. The sun is torrid and the heat can be relentless, even for southern europeans like us. Having all that in mind, there are several hiking or car routes to choose from, to... More
