Does not compare to similar pools in Maui or Zion National Park. It is a nice comfortably cool walk to and from pool. A few souvenir shops in parking lot and small food concession. As part of tour it is OK. Driving just to see this attraction is not worth the 45 minute hazardous drive.

Well laid out tourist attraction, easy walking and safe paths. The Emerald pool though was a bit of a let down (seen many better around the world) and it was more of a jade colour. Worth doing just for the drive but go early to avoid the cruise ship hordes.

This hike was well marked until the very end where you turn off to go to Emereld waterfall. Seems like the sign was removed- luckily someone happened to be there and told us to take the turn. I'm talking about the place where you see the stinky hole ( 20 minutes) sign is and the picnic bench gazebo. That's where... More

A well organized little walk. Firstly a spacious car park with souvenir vendors who don't hassle you at all. Then an 8-10 minute walk along gravelled path. Then approximately 25 well made steps each way (50 in total) and a few smooth stones at the poolside. The steps might be a challenge for very bad knees or hips but all... More

If you are stopping in port in Dominica during any cruise this is a stunningly beautiful gem. The review is based on the beauty of this natural spot on the tours. Unfortunately it's not possible to spend much time as part of a cruise tour but you can wait for your group to move on and hope to get some... More

We almost missed Emeral Pool, because the day was dreary and we thought we'd wait. Glad we didn't. Even in rain it is spectacular. We were the only ones there, making it even more special. Don't wait for perfect weather. Just go.

We decided to do the nature hike that led to Emerald Pool... it was lovely. As Washingtonians, we hike a lot, but not in this sort of humidity-- it was a little tough to breathe. It was very nice to see the trail was well maintained. It was crowded, even in December. Take sturdy shoes, and then if you want,... More

Went here as part of a cruise tour. Was worth the time and effort. Beautiful falls into the pool with a large cavern in the face behind the falls. There are a moderate number of steps down and up to get there, so not handicapped accessible. Snack bar at entrance will make you a sandwich while you do the self... More

Emerald Pool is beautiful indeed. If you are less adventurous, this is a great waterfall to visit. The trail is concrete and well-maintained. You will share your experience with other people as a result. Unlike some other falls nearby, there are signs of people everywhere: stacks of rocks, initials carved into the green moss on the rocks. That sort of... More
