This site has been subjected to many official excavations in 1891, 1892, 1945, 1971, 1983, and the last in date 1986. Some of these projects are even believed to have received funds from UNESCO. This an overlooked gem. This is the site of the first European settlement in the new world. This is the only place Columbus built a house in the Americas.
