A great way to see and learn about the colonial zone. Open air train that travels slowly throughout the town and shares lots of information about the history of the colonial zone. The tour is inexpensive and the staff is friendly

I was skeptical at first because this seemed cheesy and way too touristy. But I do terribly in the heat, and could not last longer than ten minutes at a time walking around the Zona Colonial without melting into a puddle of sweat. So the...More

An easy and interesting way to see the colonial zone. With the uneven pavement and the heat it is not an easy area to discover walking and the jnformation provided on the trip is very clear. Very friendly employees!

I wouldn't comment on the accuracy of historic data but, I found this a fun a great way to give your feet some rest amd go around the streets and small plazas in Old Santo Domingo down town. Its fun for all agrs and group, sizes.

I found the best place to purchase lovely rings, bracelets, etc was near the market square from the street vendors. Street vendors are licensed and are easily identifiable.

You can take a Taxi cab, Uber is the best option. It is about 15 minutes drive. The ticket office is just where the train departs.. Hope it helps...
