Interesting piece of history. At the entrance of the fort you are offered headphones and audio commentary to explain all the interest points of the fort. There are some lovely photo opportunities within the grounds of the fort.

This is an Historical reminder of the plight of the early inhabitants of this Island and the steps that were taken to defend themselves from invaders. The evidence of historic weapons on display speaks volumes.

Interesting to see how people lived in Puerto Plata, visit rum factory. Finally to see the Fort San Felipe and had to ask to return to hotel, didn't feel safe.
