A must see for history buffs. Great cave art, English speaking guides. Very inexpensive to do on your own.

We had such a wonderful time on this excursion. Such a beautiful place. Our tour guide was very informative and patient. We had several older people in our group and inside the cave was very slippery at times. The drawing inside were cool. The iguanas...More

My husband and I visted La Cueva on 9/19/17 on the way to Punta Cana. The site was clean, attractive and safe. The tour lasted about an hour and was very inexpensive (less than 300 pesos for the two of us). The guide was friendly...More

Tired of the beaches? Or is the rain keeping you from going outside? This is a good alternative for those days when the weather isn't cooperating! While you still have to walk outside a bit to get to the cave, once your inside, you're good...More

They said "No cameras". Bad idea. Flash does nothing to the cave environment. People take pics in lots of caves. Carlsbad Caverns, Luray Caverns and Mammoth Cave to name a few. Pictures are good advertising. Our guide said if we wanted to take pictures a...More

Wow I was amazed about the cuevas de las maravillas. The tour guy was very informative, he gives us the history about the cuevas. Has you walk through the cave the lights turns on.

We recently visited these caves on our way to Santo Domingo. It is a very small, short tour so it is not worth the time or cab fare to visit this place only. We paid a cab to take us to Santo Domingo, and we...More

It's definitely worth going here! It's one of the largest caves I've been to in the Dominican Republic and I've been to about 5 different. We had an English speaking guide included the entry price. There is also an iguana sanctuary to be found here...More

When you get there. The caves are very close to the parking lot. Even very small children could walk it. Hope that answers your question. :)

It's $10 USD but we were charged 400 Dominican pesos each which I realize is less when you convert it. No need to reserve but they do hold off sometimes for a larger group to assemble for the tour. We were quoted a 30... More
