Dominicans can’t go here. Today I had a terrible experience trying to go to Juanillo Beach with my family to eat and enjoy the beach. Although the beach is public, and the restaurants are open, we were not alowed in. First we were told to pay 20 usd per person just for access, and then no matter the 20 usd we were told that I was because of “government meassures” to prevent Covid-19. These to excuses were both lies. It seams like tourism in the Dominican Republic is only open for foreigners, and we Dominicans are banned.…

The views are gorgeous!!! tons of seashells to find also! So relaxing and gorgeous of a beach to layout and tan or just sit and listen to the waves crash. Gorgeous views of sunrise!

We spent more time traveling, or waiting, than in the activity. The Blue Hole was the highlight, but we had to wait for the catamaran to be ready, then there were almost no kayaks or paddle boards for the size of group (so were limited to 10 minutes!), the lunch was cold, the beef was 'shoe leather', the organizers seemed a bit disorganized... …

I used to go quite often to this place and I liked that I could chill and eat and drink in a nice beach. Unfortunately I had a very horrible experience yesterday. We arrived and no one welcomed us and a man started yelling at me to not touch some chairs because “they were reserved for groups consuming more than 140 dollars” I’ve been there several times in the last years and this was never said to me. Without fighting I sat in other chairs and saw how this other place was never taken by no one and how other people sitting in same chairs in other locations were not tell nothing. During the whole time NOONE CAME TO US no one asked if we wanted something to eat to drink, nothing. When I went all the way to the restaurant area this same guy who screamed at us earlier was there and completely ignored me. I needed to call his attention (it was clear I was standing there but he refused to look at me until I call him) and asked for the menus. He gave it in the most horrible manner and I left feeling stupid to my chair. He never came back to us to see if I wanted something from the menu. I left feeling horrible and knowing I will never go back there. Such a pity for such a nice beach.…

Beautiful beach but too many people popping in and out of the boat trips (Scape)and this is the beach they use for the cruise liners that dock just off Punta Cana marina. Can get very busy if you're not there early maybe no sun loungers available.
